Classic, comfortable, and deeply rooted in story. This premium short-sleeve tee serves as the perfect canvas for our Kainoa and Company "Hahai nō ka ua i ka ululāʻau" design.
Rendered in a soft, vintage-inspired Ivory, this shirt offers a lived-in feel from the very first wear. The warm, off-white tone perfectly complements the 1920s-1940s illustration of a local rice field worker, enhancing the nostalgic and soulful aesthetic of the artwork.
Behind the picture: Likely taken in the 1920s-1940s, this image depicts two men harvesting rice in a vast rice field. They wore large woven hats, called ‘pāpale’ in Hawaiian, to protect themselves from the harsh sun. They are found sporting button-up shirts with a plaid gingham, more commonly known as ‘palaka-print’, or simply ‘palaka’.
